Hey there, we’re Ashley and James
When we were looking for photo/video vendors for our wedding, we knew we wanted a combined service, but we were having a hard time finding the right fit. Ashley was so personable, she listened to what we wanted, she was knowledgeable, and so professional. The entire Tree Films Creative team made me, my husband, and the entire bridal party comfortable and I remember having a sense of ease. I could not recommend this team enough. I am so happy they were the ones who captured our day for us. I can go on and on about Tree Films; they were a literal DREAM TEAM. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend!

Get to know us
Ashley’s Story
One of my favorite childhood photos is of myself in the bathroom mirror of my old house, taking a selfie with my mom’s film camera. My mom always wanted to be a photographer, and I like to think that her influence put me where I am today.
Unsurprisingly, I decided to study Art and Design in college. I moved back to the US (I was born here but raised in Brazil) in 2016. I knew I wanted to be a wedding photographer, but I had no idea where to start.
In 2017, I met James, and my personal and professional lives changed. He asked me if I wanted to be his second shooter. I said yes, which is how it all started 7 years ago.
We fell in love and got married in 2018 (a small ceremony with our closest friends and family), and we've been full-time for 5 years now. I’m so happy documenting such important moments with my best friend!
James’ Story
I found my connection in this world at 7 years old: art. Music was my first love, and I started learning how deep and beautiful it is to extract the art that lives inside me. We all have something unique to share. In time, I understood different cultures and art around my country.
Through producing music videos, I learned the power of storytelling and how important it is to create memories and document them!
In 2016, I moved to the US to start a new life. I started in the wedding industry, where I met Ashley. We started Tree Films together and have been doing this for the past 7 years!
Our job is so much more than following you around with a camera. We get to create memories for future generations! Every couple we photograph or create a video for can share their memories with those they love most. I’m so proud of our job; it inspires me to keep going!

Hiring Tree Films to capture our wedding day was one of the absolute best decisions we could have made. We are OBSESSED with Ashley and James and had the most incredible experience working with them. We were looking for a videographer that would capture us authentically, make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and was LGBTQ inclusive. Tree Films checked all of our boxes and then some! They worked seamlessly with our photographers (everyone thought that they were all one team!) and they captured unbelievable footage of the venue, the sentimental details, and every important moment. Our families and wedding party had so much fun with them all day and night, and it shows in the pure joy radiating from our wedding film.
We will cherish our wedding film, and our amazing experience working with Tree Films for the rest of our lives.
